The 77th season of Chamber Music Cincinnati will
offer a variety of fresh, young performers, unique instrumentation
and innovative programming, presenting groups such as the Imani
Winds, Antares Quartet and the Miró Quartet.
The season opens October 3, 2006 with the world-renowned Takács
Quartet, and wraps up April 24, 2007 with the exotic woodwind
ensemble, Imani Winds.
Four of five of the ensembles to be presented have been in
existence for 15 years or less. Only Takács Quartet has seen a
generation of music making, at 32 years. Two of Takács’ four
original members still perform with the group.
